MH4U Fishing Glitch?

Minor glitch from fishing. I did this on Hi Ho Silver quest (Caravan 8*). Cast and wait for a bite. If you don't like the fish that bit, leave it there and wait for the target fish to bite. Sometimes you will lose your bait but most of the time all the fish there will just take turn biting.
